Playing chord shapes at locations on the neck different to
those normally used can give rise to some interesting voicings. Consider these
chords —
Amaj9 to A6/9sus4
sounds a bit tricky doesn't it, but all you have to do is play an open A minor
shape at the 5th fret = A maj7
add your little finger to the top string fret 7 = A maj9
- then move this shape down two frets to get the A 6/9sus4 - couldn't be much
easier!
The soundfile plays the tab twice .
Try your own variations of this by using the A minor shape and using your
little finger to get different added notes
- also you can get different effects by sliding between these two chords in
imaginative ways
